ESWT Shock Wave Therapy

ESWT (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy)

What is ESWT?

ESWT, or Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy, is a non-invasive treatment method that utilizes powerful sound waves focused on a specific area of the body using an elliptical steel cup. The principle of this treatment is based on the propagation of shock waves produced outside the body through the tissue. This therapy is used for treating orthopedic conditions such as tennis elbow, heel spurs, shoulder pain, and pseudoarthroses (non-healing fractures).

Key Benefits:

  • Non-Surgical and Corticosteroid-Free: Provides a treatment option without the need for surgery or corticosteroids.
  • High-Energy Shock Waves: Generates high-energy shock waves, applying energy up to 10 times higher than ultrasonic devices within a very short duration (1 microsecond).
  • Long-Term Healing: Aims to provide lasting improvement by addressing the underlying causes of the condition. Since the therapy stimulates the body’s own healing mechanisms, the chance of recurrence is low once the condition is healed.

ESWT offers a non-invasive alternative for treating various orthopedic issues, promoting recovery through natural healing processes.
